Tokyo Fashion Week Runway Review: A Degree Fahrenheit

Designer Yu Amatsu created a 28-look womenswear collection, for his Spring/ Summer 2013 show in Tokyo.

The ready-to-wear runway collection showcased during Tokyo Fashion Week was all white and offered in various textures and fabrics such as mesh, chiffon, and fleece. The diversification of the fabrics and the clothing styles made this a special collection.  Highlighted trends included: ponchos, long gowns, capes, bell sleeves, pleated summer shorts, jumpsuits, the mix of draping and form-fitted within a garment, and cut-out swimsuits (more trendy than wearable sportswear).  A Degree Fahrenheit’s collection was airy and stylishly comfortable, structured, yet light, which is appropriate fashion for the warmer seasons.
